Love the concept and use it just about everyday. My only complaint is that the switch is sketchy and doesn’t always come on. Very loose.

I love this thing. It's light, which is how it should be since it's portable. You can do 1 to 3 portions depending on where you put what. I usually just do one serving of rice so I'll cook it in the smaller section, then put veggies, fish, chicken, or whatnot in the bigger one. You can put about a cup/225 grams of sushi rice in the bigger section, though.
Mess around with it a bit. Look up recipes, try your own thing. So many meal options and so convenient!
I keep the instruction manual in it or in the bag when I'm not using it. This time I will *not* throw away an instruction manual. Lol.
If using it for the first time stresses you out, look up a youtube video of someone else doing it. I watched one of a guy who was also trying it for the first time. Helped my anxiety a bunch!
Also, it comes with a nice bag that fits everything but keeps everything portable. You'll see what I mean.

My 3rd one. I uses these for most of my cooking. Fast, low power and easy to use. Food tastes amazing
Lydia
it's a very compact size, and great for soups, rice, and leftovers for lunch!

Nice lunch box

Excellent addition to my work meals.

I don't know what's going on, but this is the second time they sent me a different product (Bento Go 2.0) which isn't what I wanted, which makes me think that's the only inventory they have at the warehouse. I wanted the classic so that I can take it to office and without all the obnoxious beeping the 2.0 has (that I can't turn off). Customer service is slow (it's been over a week and I have yet to hear them respond for the "replacement" they are going to send me, which I'm not going to be surprised if it's the same 2.0 I didn't want). If you guys want to order a 2.0 just order the cheapest classic and they will give you the 2.0 at that price.

I'm looking forward to trying more things in my Itaki! My initial attempts to make my normal curry recipes have needed some tweaks, but it seems promising.

Very cute! Great for one person lunch.

I have the pro version of this so I had to get the classic. I love it! It works amazing. Is a bit slower to cook than the pro but is just as good. They sent the wrong color (wanted purple but got blue) but I don't care I love it would recommend!

I might have liked it..but since I have never received it and I am being ignored by the company...I really don't know. The kept the money

Because I’m still waiting for it. I never got it

I love, love, love this. Making lunches is a bit of a challenge for me. With my lunch box, a very limited time preparing the food is well-worth it, as there is enough for both my husband and I for lunch. It’s nutritious and yummy. We bought one for our daughter and she is thrilled that she can cook her lunch while she works. She previously attempted to prepare and cook her meal and fire it into a thermos, while she was also working to organize breakfast and lunches for her sons.
Mega thanks.

I bought the new magic itaki because it was on sale and I had some birthday money to spend. I was tired of always having cold food for school because by the time lunch would roll around any hot food would be cold. I’ve been testing it out and it works pretty good! Food heats up surprisingly fast that I accidentally overcooked my pasta in it. I’ve been trying to find some trays similar to the one in the Itaki and haven’t had any luck though but all in all a product that’s worth it’s money.
I'm a huge fan of the brand and their concepts so as soon as I saw this come out I ordered it right away. This completes my collection along with my Jumbo and Shabuki Pot. Loving the new smart features, especially the one where I can set it to turn on exactly an hour before my lunch break starts. So far seems like the new options really make the food turn out exactly the way I want them even the texture is different, without having to trial and error like before. Can't wait to make this my new travel buddy as well! The recipebook though.. is still the old one and sad I HOPE you're reading this ITAKI :(
OMG, screw flowers, this is the best Valentines Day present ever from my partner! Using this to make my instant noodles at work or steaming my buns and dumplings! My coworkers were huddling up to see what’s up. I’ll probably be having hotpot for lunch in the near future! 😌😊
The Itaki pot is perfect for making camping meals for two at yurts and cabins in Oregon and Washington state, where we have access to electricity. Also boils water fast for coffee making and for rehydrating camping meals in our thermoses!
Excellent customer service and very friendly support staff! I've been using this almost everyday. Just thought I warn everyone as truth be told I initially bought a slightly cheaper black/white colored knockoff on Amazon before I got the real Pro. I later found out Itaki co DOESN'T even sell on Amazon so don't get fooled by counterfeit listings on there like I did! The knockoff would get hot at first but the food didn't always cook through and there was a smell but the worst part came later. The thing had a lot of reviews but the Amazon seller with questionable grammar asked in those feedback emails for a ""5 star" review by a certain DATE for me to claim a price refund on the purchase BEFORE I even had a chance to use it more than 3 times but stupid me I thought why not. First red flag. I didn't think much of the funny smell at at the time but after about 4 uses the socket where it connects to the contraption started to smoke and the white container smelled of strong putrid burning plastic! Needless to say I was so DAMN pissed and wanted to return it but the shady seller never got back to me so I filed a claim and it wasn't an easy process. All my subsequent reviews on it warning people was taken down by the Amazon seller but after browsing the 1 star reviews I notice I wasn't the only one with similar complaints and I'm sure many tried but only a few actually made it on! Do NOT trust Amazon reviews from unknown names as NOW I'm pretty sure MOST of them are fake from phony purchases! I reached out to Itakico and they told me I wasn't the only one and apparently they've been in lawsuits against Amazon for IP violation since they don't even sell the real itaki co there and only dangerous knockoffs. Now that I have the real thing the support from Itaki co is a far cry from those scammers on Amazon and there's actual real support. Also thank you for the gorgeous spoons with my REAL Itaki co order appreciate the kindness but I know it's not their fault. Save yourself the trouble and get the real thing, it's not worth the few extra dollars saved and not worth playing with safety! I'll be posting recipes soon on Youtube and give my final review and warning as well but so far Pro has been working great and WITHOUT the horrible smell or burning. I can't believe Amazon doesn't vet these knockoffs or check for REAL reviews, it's just horrible business practice! I'm sorry if this isn't a proper review or if it's appropriate to post this here. If it's not please let me know I'll take it down and do a proper review but the truth needs to be told so others don't make the same mistake!
I ordered Shabuki pots with steamers for my 8 year olds and 2 jumbo Itaki pots. The love to cook but I don’t always have the time or patience to supervise while the create concoctions for their meals. These give them so much freedom to make what they want and so quickly without me worrying about them burning the house down. They have been using it for breakfast lunch and dinner since they got them on Their birthday. I haven’t had to cook for anyone in almost 2 Weeks! Plus as much as we travel this will save so much during hotel stays when we can just cook in our room as placing my 2nd order now for me and my husbands Itaki pots so we no longer have to ask permission to use theirs. I cannot recommend highly enough. These have been a godsend and the customer service is above and beyond!
I LOVE THIS THING! I can't believe the power it has to be so compact! The food comes out HOT and delicious! Meat is cooked all the way through and one can achieve some pretty awesome flavors! I have been preparing meals and putting them in zip lock bags in the freezer. You can pull out a frozen pack and cook it to perfection in this product! The size is PERFECT for making a pretty good sized lunch or dinner. Definately thinking of buying more for fam and friends as gifts! ;3 (Also the lil character on the front is cute.)
The cooker works, but the lid seals are complete rubbish. The rubber ring stretched out and warped after very light use and gentle cleaning. It no longer fits in the groove or seals properly. Frustratingly, Itaki’s 5-year warranty excludes these rings as "wear and tear," so you are forced to buy new one of you want the lid to close. Cheaply made component that ruins a decent product.
I love the Itaki products! I have the chef box and the shabu pot. My favorite is the chef box. Lunches are never boring, food is always hot and delicious when made with this handy little cooker. The ability to set a timer is great, one can set it when you come into work and at lunch it is hot and ready. Lunch is only limited to your imagination.
Just received mine today and I decided to reheat some leftover hamburger steak and rice. Trying to workout the cooking settings was a bit confusing but I was to reheat my food. Overall, it’s worth the price the food came steaming hot and reheated nicely! I also enjoyed the various attachments and bag it comes with!
By far the worst and most cheaply made appliance I have ever purchased. Firstly, the box arrived damaged and only served as a warning. The appliance itself uses very flimsy and cheap plastics. Lips are bent and malformed, causing it to not close properly. The metal trays are thin and uneven. The front panel looks like it was forced on in the wrong position and it won't even start when plugged in. Taking off the panel it's clear why, the board is broken and the chip has broken off its soldering at points. See the photos.
I wouldn't recommend this item at all. Waste of money.
This was initially an impulse buy from doom scrolling because I absolutely hated my lunches and takeout is sooo expensive but I'm so glad I got it. It's cooked better quality meals than my instant pot and the pasta and rice texture is incredible, never soggy! Also it's actually so light to carry around. I'll be using this A LOT from now on!
I had my first Itake Chefbox for a good few years, using it about 3-4 times a week. All of a sudden, the heating element stopped working (might have banged it the week before). I tried all the tips that are given to check if it's due to not adding enough water ( I always did), cleaning with vinegar for any mineral deposits (did it once a month) or if the buttons didn't work. it's guaranteed under my warranty that I could get a replacement if it broke.... took a bit of time but I was mailed a brand new Chefbox and I am so ecstatic that they stand behind their product. I love using mine for meal prep and all I have to do is heat while working. I wished they also sold extra of the 304 stainless steel compartments so I can do more than meal prep the night before but make 2-3 meals beforehand, just a suggestion! Otherwise, great customer service, awesome device and I cannot recommend enough :)
Just received my MAGIC ITAKI® CHEFBOX - SMART BENTO PRO 2.0 and I love it!
I just cooked rice and an egg omelette in it, the Misono Beef is leftover from a previous cook. It is fast, silent, and efficient. I like how it eliminates the need to compete with coworkers for a microwave at work. Simply plug it in an office outlet and you have piping hot food in 30-40 minutes.
The compact food trays promote healthier eating habits by encouraging smaller portions, which can contribute to maintaining a healthy weight. I hope this gadget lasts as I plan on using it daily for years to come. I can’t wait to try new recipes in it!
One of my most useful purchases this year. 👍🏼😃
I have had this for ages, but today is the first time I have given it a workout. I am staying in a motel in a remote Australian town while doing a HUGE car trip. When I tell you that there is nothing here that caters to coeliacs, please believe me. (Even if there was, it would be far too expensive!). Tonight I have steamed some frozen homemade (GF) BBQ Bao (use cake liners and they won’t stick!) and some sticky ginger pudding. The people in the next room knocked to see where I purchased the delicious-smelling dinner. They were devastated to discover I brought it with me. Tomorrow night (next motel, even more remote) I am going to pan-fry some homemade gyoza. It is perfect for the solo travelled, but I will continue to cook my rice in the lunchbox (it’s perfection)…
I make rice on the bottom. I make two potions of salmon on the top pieces. It is quick and easy to make.
PUT water in bottom container.
ADD 1/2 cup rice to big container.
RINSE rice.
ADD 1/2 cup water.
ADD a little more water.
PLACE separator over rice.
PLACE 2 portion container on top.
ADD olive oil to each side of container.
ADD one piece of thawed salmon to each side.
SPRINKLE Basel/garlic powder/onion power.
COVER with top.
COOK on Rice mode for 40 minutes
AFTER 40 minutes, put on plates.
MICROWAVE frozen English peas.
PUT peas on plates.
Enjoy.
This is affordable and easy.
I like Jasmin Rice.
I buy from Aldi.
I’ve only used them once so far but once you get past the learning curve it’s a very versatile tool. I loved my rice cooker for the press and go aspect and I have no doubts this will be even better! Excited to do more with it.
DAWG!!! I wanted something sweet. Made this cake on the fly using a leftover candy bar as the base ingredient. Who knew cooking this in a lunchbox would be this easy?? I can whip up home-cooked meals in about the same amount of time it takes me to order takeout.
Get. This. Lunchbox. Now! Any of them. You won’t regret it.
Spicy beef rice noodle soup made on my office chair :) Also makes killer mac n cheese! At first I actually bought a knockoff for a few bucks cheaper (it's smaller and much flimsier with black interior) thinking it was the same but it's NOT! The knockoff had black inside lining that was non-stick but has some kind of PLASTIC coating I didn't notice until around the 3rd time use the thing started smelling like melting plastic and little pieces of black color started coming off washing it! After some research it probably has Teflon which is toxic and all the reviews that sell that knockoff are probably paid for or people haven't noticed yet, it's toxic anything non-stick usually is! I wish more people knew! I have a peace of mind now using the real Shabuk pot not to mention it holds WAY MORE food. Does stick a little in the bottom if you're not careful though so don't let it get too dry but it should auto off itself if it starts sticking!
I love my Itaki! I bring it to work almost everyday, and make all sorts of meals. It helps save me money, and it's helping me work my way towards my goal of losing weight! I recommend getting an itaki to everyone at my work. 10/10, highly recommend!
love this little cooker (rectangle)! I can even cook desserts! I have cooked rice and a veg dish along with some meat. It's so fantastic! I only wish I could buy more containers and lids to have stuff in the freezer ready to go! I think this is such a great way to make my dinner prep easier as well! It's nice to cook just enough sometimes so I don't have to deal with left overs. I also love how easy it is to set and not have to worry about over cooking and burning food. It's easy to forget the time with busy lives. I have all three appliances but my favourite is the rectangle because it's just the right size. I also love the little soup cooker but I find that it doesn't stay hot for very long so actually browning food isn't so quick. The round steamer is great for slightly larger meals. The rectangle containers hold about 2 cups each or half a cup in the partitioned container. The soup holds 3 cups I think and the round steamer has a 4 cup container on the bottom and two smaller ones. The rectangle container lids are water tight so they are relatively safe to travel to work with although they are just held in place by pressure with the seal.
I am looking forward fir my travel with my mother. She has specific food requirements and itaki works. I was able to make some porridge with it am confident I will not have any probkems now. Thank you itaki. 😊
Love how fast it boils water and being able to add a steamer on top. Also great there’s a see thru glass lid. Super easy to use. Wish the pot was designed so that the base could be removed from the plastic part for ease of cleaning and no worry of getting the electrical plug or bottom wet.
It has made oatmeal this morning. 2 ramen soups with poached eggs for lunch.
The picture is dinner. Sauerkraut beef, rice and Chilli sauce. Hubby gave dinner 8.5 out of 10.
Am so happy I bought this and luckily on special too. It is worth every dollar. It is simple to use and allows me to have a nutritious, fresh, non-expensive lunch at work. I also use it at home. Washing it for the first time was a bit worrying because I didn't want to get the power socket wet. It was nice to get the free included goodies (soup spoon and chopsticks) although the bag is a tight fit. Based on my experience I highly recommend this product. Thank you, Itakico, for a fantastic product.
I take my Itakico with me everywhere I go. This had been to Las Vegas, Lake Placid, Atlantic City and a lot more places. Very handy and compact. Don’t get the counterfit from Amazon or other sites. I purchased mine directly here. I must say the quality is superb. The cost is totally worth it. If I am given a great discount, I would purchase 2 additionals as gift for my sister and I would also like to get accessories. Thank you for bringing this to the market. Love, love, love!!!
making Wonton noodles but using this brand noodles instead of fresh egg noodles, I bought this noodle from Costco.
Love the convenient of the shabuki.
Xu
I’ve used it 4/5 days at school since I bought it over a month ago.
I prepare night before, 30 min before munch click the button.
No sharing the microwave anymore!
Cooking fresh food.
I am a Pescatarian, my husband is not, therefore I am usually cooking two different meals for us. The Itaki Pro has changed my life in the kitchen for good!!! I can now have my meal ready to go and while I am fixing his dinner, mine is on the go already! Itaki makes cooking for different food lifestyles so easy!
I have ordered another for myself, the Shabaka and gifted 2 to daughters as well!
Thanks Itaki!
If your like me and did a ton of research and still haven't committed. Well Let me tell you it is worth the price and convenience. I bought the inverter with my itaki so just like emmy on "emmymade" on YouTube. I wanted to try out the cooking while you're driving method and as you can see in the photo it actually works. No waiting in line at a drive thru for me...I got options! 🥰🤗
I cannot brag enough about the Itaki Pro! It is wonderful!! I have had it a few weeks now and use it at least twice a week. I cook pineapple chicken in the bottom and rice in the top or veggies in the bottom and fish in the top (pictured). It makes enough for 2. This is my go-to cooker rather than drag out the big pots. I LOVE it!
Bought three more sets of the entire stainless steel bowls with lid for a weeks worth of meal preps that makes my life easy & simple. I wish the lids were much more leak proof but it’s better then nothing at all 🙂. Overall, I’m content and satisfied 👍🏼😉
Made this from scratch with fresh shrimp, frozen scallops and potatoes and rice ontop. Total prep time the night before was around 10 mins and the inserts all come with storage lids I can bring the next day. The best part about it is how quiet and easy it is to use to get a homecooked meal. I can just set it and forget about it without bothering anyone. This thing could even fit in my desk and no one realized I was making lunch in there! The golden spoon looks quite incredible with a very long handle. The recipebook is good but perhaps a bit too "healthy" for me but their Itaki group has very helpful with very creative recipe ideas if you want more inspiration. Oh and the lunchbag that came with it is very cute! Everyone's posting about what lunchbags came with theirs which can be a hit or miss in design but it's funny! I'm usually very hard to convince when it comes to these 'gimmicks' but this is probably the most useful thing I've bought this year. I'm also impressed with their patient customer service at first when bombarding them with questions about warranty but you get free replacement for the device and unlimited replacement for parts within 5 years for any reason which is a deal-breaker for me! Will definitely recommend for friends and family! Thanks
My 2 pros came in today and I got so excited so tested it out right away! Shrimp came out perfect and bouncy and the noodles were surprisingly not soggy at all. My hubby and I will be with our magic itakis A LOT in the coming days. Probably won't be eating out for a while anyways by the look of things right now!
